BIOGRAPHY
Benjamin Kidston was awarded a Bachelor of Applied Science (Biotech) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology in 1999. After completing articles of clerkship he was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 1999 and later in New South Wales and the High Court.
As a solicitor and senior associate, Mr Kidston practced predominantly in commercial litigation in Brisbane and Sydney, and lastly at Home Wilkinson Lowry.
In 2004 Mr Kidston was called to the Queensland Bar and admitted to practice before the High Court, and has been in private practice continuously since that time.
In 2016 Mr Kidston was appointed a sessional member of the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Mr Kidston advises upon and appears in proceedings in all State (Primarily Eastern seaboard) and Federal courts (including the High Court), tribunals, mediations, and commercial arbitrations, with and without a leader, and has a largely commercial practice. He also acts as a specialist adjudicator in body corporate disputes.
